Two retreat options, one aim: to provide you with a blissful week of mindful living, nourishing food, holistic wellbeing practices and nature connection. To ‘retreat’ is to step away from busyness, stress, responsibilities and the mundane everyday in order to heal the mind & body.

The Gentle Adventure Retreat

For those who want to take a mindful step outside their comfort zone, explore, try new things and be proactive about their wellbeing. This retreat is active but not rushed, adventurous without being scary and mindful without hours of seated meditation. It’s perfect for those wanting to discover new places and new parts of themselves along the way. It’s about prioritising health without compromising fun and adventure. The Gentle Adventure Retreat is more active than The Full Recharge Retreat (see below) but still has plenty of opportunity for downtime and relaxation at the villa or beach.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Hike to the historic Kastro and explore the island’s first settlement with restored buildings and incredible views

  • Start your mornings with qigong & meditation overlooking the glittering Aegean sea

  • Connect with the abundant nature of Skiathos on a forest bathing session in the aesthetic pine & eucalyptus forest

  • Enjoy a special sunset sea swim on a perfect beach

  • Explore the stunning coastline and crystal waters by paddleboard

  • Take a boat trip to an uninhabited island nature reserve for hiking, sunbathing & swimming

The Full Recharge Retreat

Did you know there are actually 7 types of rest? Well, this is The Full Recharge Retreat so you will experience them all! This retreat is for those who want to embrace rest and experience total relaxation. If you need the time, space & care to come back to yourself, be nourished and feel reset, this one is for you. It’s about prioritising yourself, regulating your nervous system and reconnecting with what matters.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Sink into peace with a guided poolside meditation for complete relaxation

  • Connect with the abundant nature of Skiathos on a forest bathing session in the aesthetic pine & eucalyptus forest

  • Enjoy a special sunset sea swim on a perfect beach

  • Experience healing touch with a restorative Swedish massage

  • Start your mornings with qigong & meditation overlooking the glittering Aegean sea

  • Organise your thoughts and work through emotions with guided journaling practices

  • Explore your creative side with a mindful art class with a local teacher

The villa

We've hired a stunning private villa that you won't find on any booking websites - it was a chance meeting on a previous trip to the island that helped us find this special place.

Each of the 4 available bedrooms has a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom so you can have the freedom and calm of your own space.

You can attend solo or share your room with your partner, best mate, sibling or parent.

The rooms are elegantly designed to feel luxurious yet welcoming - it very quickly feels like home, which I must warn you makes it difficult to leave!

The shared spaces are beautifully decorated and provide the perfect setting for rest and relaxation.

And yes, there is an infinity pool with breathtaking views. Anyone for a mindful swim?!

The island

We fell in love with Skiathos in 2019, and since then we have visited many times and got to know the island really well - we can't wait to show you around! Its green hills are lush with pine, eucalyptus trees, wild herbs and abundant wildflowers. There are 60 beaches on this small island, with golden sand and crystal blue waters. We won't get round all of them but we'll definitely make a bee line for our favourites when the sun is shining!

Let’s talk about the weather: we’ve chosen September as it offers warm temperatures without the intense heat and crowds of the height of summer. Hopefully we will get plenty of sun, but do note that it can be changeable so be prepared for summer rain and cool evenings as well as glorious sunshine. The island is beautiful in any weather and we'll plan the activities accordingly. We've chosen this month because cooler days are perfect for exploring the many hiking trails and hilly parts of town that would be a no-go in the intense summer heat.

You can fly direct to Skiathos from Manchester and other major cities.

Nourish

Good food is a key part of our retreats. We'll be serving delicious, homemade and fresh dishes that leave you feeling nourished & satisfied. 

Our food is plant forward - that means we focus on veggies, grains & legumes. A couple of meals will include a meat/fish option.

Expect Greek and Mediterranean dishes served 'family style' with lots of flavourful salads, locally made bread & fresh flavours. We'll be using seasonal Greek ingredients as much as possible.

We'll also have the opportunity to visit local tavernas. And of course plenty of ice cream - I had a baklava flavour one on our last trip that was divine!

We can cater to vegetarians and food intolerances (please contact us to discuss this) but regrettably not severe allergies or restrictive diets as we have one chef and a home kitchen.

On both retreats you will....

  • Start the day with qigong inspired gentle movement & guided mindfulness meditations

  • Connect with yourself & others through reflective journaling & good conversation

  • Stretch it out at rooftop yoga, guided by Skiathos resident Sarah

  • Explore the charming streets of the old town, the traditional monastery & take in scenic views of the island

  • Have a very scenic glass of wine at the island vineyard before our final night dinner at a restaurant with an incredible view.

  • Chill out during free time; read, wander, swim, nap or do whatever you please!

We are a husband and wife team, combining careers in hospitality & wellbeing with our love of Greece and skill at creating beautiful, healing experiences for people. One of the things that sets our retreats apart is our knowledge of Skiathos and our connection with the locals; this is our second home and we’re inspired by Greek culture and hospitality, creating an authentic experience with respect for the island, its people, plants & animals.

Natalie is a counsellor, mindfulness teacher, workshop facilitator and nature connection guide.

Steve is a talented professional chef, cookery teacher & trusty retreat driver.

​We are here to support, guide and take care of you. The atmosphere will be relaxed and friendly; we want you to feel that you can be yourself and truly relax here.

Early bird £1700. Full price £1850 per room. Deposit £250.

 Shared room:

Early bird £2900. Full price £3100 per room . Deposit £500.

You can fly direct to Skiathos from Manchester, Bristol, Midlands and London with EasyJet, Jet2 and Tui.

Look out for deals on airline websites or use Skyscanner to compare prices. End of summer/winter sales can be a good time to book but don't leave it too late as it's only a small island and it can get booked up. Drop me an email if you want to chat more about this, we're happy to help!

We'll be at the airport to collect you and take you to the villa. During the retreat week we'll organise any transport needed for the activities planned and there is a great bus service on the island.  If you want more independence you can hire a quad bike or car to explore hidden beaches and mountain roads. It's best to organise this in advance, we can help you. Alternatively you can simply explore on foot - please note the villa is on a hill but we'll be around most of the time if you want picking up from the nearest beach.
