Anxiety 101

I’m a counsellor, mindfulness teacher and nature therapy guide with over 10 years experience of helping people overcome anxiety. I'm also a human being who has lived with chronic anxiety and have some things to share from this journey which I hope will help you on yours.

This workshop is everything I wish I'd known as a child, teen and young adult. Understanding what anxiety is and why we feel it is such a huge part of recovering from it and reducing it, so we'll spend some time talking about that.

We'll take a brief look at the nervous system and what anxiety's core message is. Then we'll move onto how to interpret that message, learn to regulate, soothe and ultimately rise above our anxiety.

There will be information, guidance, resources, reflection activities and time for questions.

You will need:

  • Laptop or device to connect to zoom

  • Decent internet connection

  • A notebook/journal and pen

Workshop aims: for you to have a greater understanding of anxiety both in general and your individual experience of it and to have some tools to help you change your relationship with it.
